JSC "SEZ" and the German company "Saria Bio-Industries International GmbH" announces the construction start in the Special economic zone "Alabuga"

On October 25th, 2011 the groundbreaking ceremony gave a start to a new enterprise (LLC "Saria Bio-Industries Volga") which will assist to collect and process Tatarstan Republic's raw materials of animal origin. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, First Deputy General Director "Special Economic Zones" Victor Zheleztsov, head of  Yelabuga municipal district  Gennady Emelyanov, general director of JSC "SEZ "Alabuga" Timur Shagivaleev, "Rethmann" group founder Norbert Rethmann, CEO LLC "Saria Bio-Industries Volga" Manfred Gellner.

The chosen location will reduce the logistics cost of the finished product, as the animal feed segment of the Volga federal district is the second largest producer of animal feed among all the Russian federal districts.

The SEZ "Alabuga" resident LLC "Saria Bio-Industries Volga" will be granted a range of tax and customs preferences, as well as ready to use industrial infrastructure, significantly reducing the production expeses.

By entering the "Alabuga" site LLC "Saria Bio-Industries Volga" will provide high quality services to the Volga federal district's meat industry. Secondary raw materials will be brought together within the radius of 1,000 km. The plant's annual processing capability is 115 000 tons. The planned capacity of the finished product - 11 500 tons of animal fat and 29 thousand tons of meat and bone meal per year.

As Rustam Minnikhanov noted: "The new plant will use 100% animal resources, existing in the republic. We will provide maximum assistance and be the main supplier of raw materials". Victor Zheleztsov also stressed upon the fact that a new factory would be successful and make a significant contribution to the development of the Russian industry.

According to  Norbert Rethmann ( "Saria" group is a "Rethmann" division), similar enterprises have been put into operation throughout Europe and are successfully developing. Among the new prospects that the company sees in the nearest future - opening new production facilities in seven different regions of Russia. The "Rethmann" group turnover is 10 billion euros.

During the meeting, which took place in the administrative and business center of the SEZ "Alabuga", Mr. Rethmann noted the positive work experience with Russian partners: "Commissioning the plant will make a significant contribution to the anticipated job vacancies in the Republic of Tatarstan. We have a positive prerequisites for successful cooperation. " In his turn, Norbert Rethmann invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit "Rethmann" factories in Germany and personally learn the scope of tasks, covered by the "Rethmann" group.
