Ford awarded the supplier of stamped products the highest status of compliance with company standards

Ford Sollers announces the assignment of Q1 supplier status to Joshkunoz Alabuga, which is an important strategic partner of the company. This is the highest status that a supplier of automotive components can get from Ford. The new status allows not only to deliver stamped products to Russian Ford plants but also to export them to the automaker’s enterprises around the world.
The supplier status Q1 was awarded by Ford for the conformity of the quality of the products of «Joshkunoz Alabuga» to the global standards and requirements that Ford makes to the suppliers of auto components. The start of export deliveries of internal sidewalls of the body, arches of rear wheels and rear door panels is scheduled for August of this year. Details of the Russian production will be delivered to the Ford plant in Craiova (Romania) for the production of new Ford EcoSport cars.
Cooperation of Ford Sollers with «Joshkunoz Alabuga» became one of the important stages in the localization of the Russian production of Ford cars. The next step will be the localization of the process for cutting sheet metal. The construction of a new metal service «Alabuga» in partnership with the company «Joshkunoz» began in December 2016. In the service, there will be a cutting sheet metal for stamping parts of the body of cars of leading Russian automakers, the first of which will be Ford Sollers. SMC «Alabuga» will be the first company of its kind in the region. The volume of production will be 60,000 tons of rolled metal per year. The launch of production of a metal service is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018. Share
