Reconstruction of district wastewater treatment plants: completion of stage 1

The first stage of the reconstruction of district treatment facilities is nearing completion: permission has been obtained from the State Construction Supervision Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan to commission the facility.

Despite the difficulties, a temporary transition to a round-the-clock mode of operation and the withdrawal of additional equipment, in order to avoid lagging behind the schedule, specialists already carried out a large amount of work in the first stage of reconstruction of the district treatment facilities.

The work was done:

· Reconstruction of structural elements of reinforced concrete biological treatment tanks

· Installation of a scraper system for mechanical wastewater treatment

· Installation of aeration system for biological wastewater treatment

· Installation of the return sludge system

· Installation of turbo-blowers for supplying air to the aeration system

During the implementation of the project, such unforeseen work as repeated emptying of sumps and aeration tanks, switching and installation of temporary pipelines also occurred - all this and much more was carried out jointly by the staff of the operation department and the construction company “Alabuga Development”.

The planned volume of updated treatment facilities will take 19,500 m³ of sewage per day.

Alabuga Development LLC became the winner of the tender and engaged in the reconstruction of treatment facilities for domestic and industrial wastewater in the territory of the SEZ “Alabuga” and the Yelabuga town in September 2019.

Reconstruction includes earthwork, engineering training, protection of the territory, installation of foundations, external walling, load-bearing structures. It is also necessary to lay networks of water supply, drainage and heat supply, to build energy facilities according to the documentation.

The Republic of Tatarstan allocated 841.28 million rubles for this as part of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology".

Now the employees of Alabuga Development are procuring equipment and materials for the implementation of the second stage of district wastewater treatment plants reconstruction for a total of 595 million rubles. The second phase is planned to be completed by the end of 2020.

The implementation of this facility will complete the project on the modernization and reconstruction of the wastewater system. And also to minimize the negative impact on the environment: to guarantee the degree of wastewater treatment in accordance with all sanitary and environmental standards in force in the Russian Federation.
