STEM-center - a quick start for future world-class engineers!

On July 21, in the STEM center on the territory of the SEZ "Alabuga" was a presentation of training programs in the following areas: APCS, mechatronics, chemistry and electronics.

The event began in the academic building, where 1st year students of the STEM center conducted an excursion for applicants and parents, told how the training was going on and demonstrated what they learned in the first year.

Parents of applicants were acquainted with the principles of teaching and skills that students receive at the STEM center. Among them - reading and drawing up diagrams for automatic control systems, programming controllers, designing electrical circuits, analytical control of chemical compounds.

The head of the Yelabuga municipal district Rustem Nuriyev, who in his welcoming speech noted that today the SEZ «Alabuga» is the largest economic zone in Russia, attended the event. In addition, the main guarantee of the rapid development of enterprises, their main wealth and value are people. The STEM center, created in conjunction with the Yelabuga Polytechnic College, trains professionals in their field. This is the first step towards the formation of personnel on the territory of the Kama cluster that meet the highest international standards.

General Director of the SEZ "Alabuga" Timur Shagivaleev introduced the parents to the achievements of the special economic zone in the development of human resources and social infrastructure of the Yelabuga region. Each area taught in the STEM center is in demand in modern enterprises. Students with such knowledge and skills have great potential in the future to manage factories in the special economic zone

“World-class companies use expensive equipment in production, so residents are looking for specialists from all over Russia. Studying at the STEM center is a quick start for the professional growth of a young specialist. We create all conditions for students to study the most modern technologies, so that yesterday's graduate will be in demand in high-tech production. In Q4 2020, we plan to create a center for the development of early engineering thinking and manufacturing competencies. It will be a modern, large and technologically advanced building for training professionals, in line with world practices”,- said Timur Shagivaleev.

The training modules of the educational building of the STEM center are equipped with advanced high-tech educational equipment, where the current engineers of the SEZ "Alabuga" teach. Because of the training, the graduate is a professional with developed soft and hard skills, who has 2 years of experience of continuous work in his specialty and a guarantee of employment at SEZ enterprises.

At the end of the event, Elvira Fomina, head of the international school "Alabuga International School", answered questions about admission to the STEM center. Parents were worried about questions about budget education, program terms and conditions of employment of graduates.
