The first course has been completed: STEM center students shared their impressions

31.08.2020
Yesterday, August 30, CEO of the SEZ "Alabuga" Timur Shagivaleev held a meeting with students of the STEM center.

Pupils who successfully completed the first course shared their impressions of their work at the infrastructure facilities of the SEZ "Alabuga". Summer internships for students of the center for the training of highly qualified personnel took place on the territory of the existing services of the special economic zone: a boiler room, a water utility, a water treatment plant, power grid facilities, the Alabuga International School. This practice allows future specialists to immerse themselves in the atmosphere and get acquainted with the specifics of work.

Timur Shagivaleev answered the students' questions and spoke about future projects where graduates will be able to apply the knowledge they acquire in their professional areas. One of such projects is the building of the "Synergy 2" industrial park, where in 2021 the training laboratories of the updated STEM center will be opened, equipped with additional equipment not only for daily practice-oriented training, but also for passing a demonstration exam according to WorldSkills standards.

In the new academic year, the most successful sophomores will try themselves as mentors for freshmen who will begin their studies at the STEM-center on September 1.

For reference:

The STEM center was created on the basis of the Synergy industrial park and trains qualified specialists in the following specialties: process control systems, mechatronics, chemistry and electronics. The directions of training are aimed at meeting the needs of enterprises-residents of the SEZ "Alabuga" in qualified personnel. On September 1, 2020, the second stream of the 100 best graduates of 9th grade schools in the Yelabuga town is expected.
