Project Drylok in Alabuga «unfrozen»

The resumption of construction of the Belgian factory Drylock Technologies in special economic zone «Alabuga» is a positive signal to those investors who have temporarily suspended their projects in Tatarstan. This was announced today Acting President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov during the ceremony «restart» of the construction. In the ceremony was also attended by the president of holding Drylock Technologies Bart Van Mulderen.

«Drylock Technologies» factory will produce a modern hygienic products. More than 140 million pieces of products per month will come out from production lines. The plant is designed to the 14 lines, which will be put into operation gradually over several years. Investments into the project will amount to about 40 million euros (more than two billion rubles).

«We are very pleased that our partner, took time to think, assessed the situation and realized that the Russian market is huge, and management support of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan and the special economic zone is guaranteed. And I can officially assure that investment companies nested here will bring the related income, — said the Acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during the ceremony. — I am sure that this is a good signal for other of our investors who have taken the time to think about their next steps».

In turn, the head of the holding company said that the company expects to become a serious player in the market of Powerful Russian Federation. «We feel the hospitality in Tatarstan and want to produce our products here for the Russian market, and therefore should be localized supply of raw materials — said Bart Van Mulder. — Part of raw materials we are forced to import and so we want to cooperate with companies from Russia and Tatarstan».

«I am delighted to be back here, glad to resume the construction of our factory, president of Drylock Technologies holding Bart Van Mulderen. — Our goal — to organize the production of world-class here. We focus on working with Tatarstan, for the production of quality products, which we will sell all over Russia.»

To mark the «unfreezing» of the project, Rustam Minnikhanov and Bart Van Mulder pitched a symbolic block of ice, which were entered into the clock — at this point they again began the countdown plant construction.

Also in the SEZ «Alabuga» hosted a meeting of company management Drylok Technologies with potential suppliers of raw materials for the new plant — the representatives of the petrochemical complex of Tatarstan.
