Ford Sollers significantly increased sales in Q1 2016

Ford Sollers announced that total sales of Ford in Russia for the first quarter of 2016 showed an increase of 87% compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to almost 10 000 vehicles. Ford’s market share in the first quarter 2016 amounted to 3.0% against 1.3% in the first three months of last year.

The main growth drivers, contributing to rapid growth trend in the first three months of 2016, became the new Ford Kuga, Ford Fiesta, the new Ford Focus, the new Ford Mondeo.

So Ford Kuga sales growth of 185% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year; New Ford Mondeo — 83%; New Ford Explorer — 67%; and the new Ford Focus — 64%. Sales of commercial vehicles Ford Transit family grew in the first quarter of this year by 11% compared to the same period of 2015.

While sales of the line of cars and commercial vehicles Ford soared monthly basis since the beginning of this year — as sales of new models of Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Ford Mondeo and Ford Transit from January to March increased by more than twice. And sales of the new Ford Explorer SUV for the specified period increased by 61%.

The dynamic growth of sales contributed to one of the newest in the Russian market line of cars, represented 7 localized models of the Ford, adapted to the Russian road and climate conditions, as well as a whole range developed with the support of R & D center Ford Sollers of special purpose vehicles based on the new Ford Transit.

Recall also that the Kuga model, Explorer and Transit performed on a full cycle in the factory Ford Sollers company in the special economic zone «Alabuga».
