History of military air force with Mikhail Timin at Alabuga Polytech

Mikhail Timin, a lead expert in the military history of Russian aviation, was a speaker to Alabuga Polytech college students. The lecture was held at the headquarters of the educational center and gathered more than 1,300 freshmen.

The famous historian, in the framework of military-patriotic education of students, spoke about the state of Soviet aviation in the pre-war period and shared interesting facts about the achievements and new technologies that played an important role in the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the lecture, Timin showed the college students a fragment of the documentary «Prokhorovka. People, Fire and Steel» dedicated to the events of July 1943 on the southern phase of the Kursk Bulge.

«Very happy to speak to the guys, especially in such a magnificent building. It is simply a temple of technical science. I am an engineer by qualification, and of course, it is a heart-balm to see what has been created here, what processes are going on. It is, frankly speaking, a complete delight! - Timin said. - Our team and I shared with the guy’s historical research, talked about the development of aviation from the point of view of the most energy-intensive industry, namely aircraft construction. Alabuga Polytech college students, as future technical specialists, showed great interest in the lecture».
