Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: «Alabuga» is the most efficient SEZ in Russia according to the results of 2022

According to the results of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development's assessment for 2022, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone became the leader in terms of efficiency, having fulfilled the targets by 100%.

In addition, residents and the management company created 1,361 new workplaces during the year. «Alabuga» is also ahead of other SEZs in the volume of taxes paid to the budget systems of Russia - 5.5 billion rubles.

«The leaders of efficiency among SEZs for 2022 are distinguished by the built and time-tested system of investor support throughout the «life cycle» of an investment project, which implies, in addition to benefits on mandatory payments and rent of state property, information, administrative and infrastructural support for business», - said Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Vakhrukov.

He also added that SEZs are driven by regional economies and are investment attraction points: «Business comes to SEZs for stable conditions and developed infrastructure, and the results of 2022, in this sense, speak for themselves. The SEZ regime is working, and the investment attractiveness of the platforms is growing every year».

As a reminder, Alabuga is the No. 1 special economic zone in Russia. Today it is a full-cycle partner that provides the best engineering, construction, personnel, social infrastructure. The SEZ hosts more than 30 unique import-substituting production facilities that are leaders in their respective industries. The total amount of private investment is 162 billion rubles, 11 thousand jobs have been created, and residents' revenue for 2022 amounted to 138 billion rubles.
