A Resident of the special economic zone «Alabuga», woodworking enterprise KASTAMONU according to the results of 2016 became the leader of its industry in terms of volumes of export deliveries from Russia. The company accounts for 33% of the supply of wood-plate products abroad.
The countries where the share of KASTAMONU’s presence exceeds 50% among Russian suppliers to the export market are the following: Iran (51%), Israel (76%), Georgia (51%), Turkmenistan (57%), Bulgaria (94%), Afghanistan (47%), Romania (100%).
«The design capacities of the company today allow producing more than 1 million m³ of MDF boards and 35 million m² of laminate per year,» said Ali Kylich, General Director of KASTAMONU in Russia. — Despite the high competition in the industry, we managed not only to gain a foothold in the market but also to become the leader in exporting wood-plate products among Russian manufacturers by the end of 2016. In the future, we plan to keep strengthening our positions both in the domestic market and export destinations, thus, forming conditions for production at designed capacity".
