«Our goal is to colonize the moons of Jupiter»: Minnikhanov, Kostin and Okladnikova inaugurated the headquarters of Alabuga Polytech

Today, on October 2 the grand opening of the headquarters of Alabuga Polytech - the largest educational center for training skilled workers with a target capacity of 10,000 people per year. The event was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Andrey Kostin, President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB, and Irina Okladnikova, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.

The guests highly appreciated the infrastructure of the multifunctional complex, which provides office and sports infrastructure for the employees of the special economic zone and college students of Alabuga Polytech. They noted separately the prototype of the Soviet orbital rocket plane «Buran», which is installed on the roof of the headquarters of Alabuga Polytech. In this way, Alabuga decided to immortalize the feat of Soviet scientists and remind that a piece of DNA of technological inventors lives in each of us. In addition, Buran symbolizes the aspiration for new greatest discoveries and achievements.

If earlier pharaohs used to store gold in pyramids, Alabuga Polytech headquarters brings together the best guys from all over the world. Not everyone is able to reach each next step. Alabuga Polytech headquarters concentrates the talent and energy of people - college students who can repeat the feats of great national designers and engineers (Sergey Korolev, Igor Kurchatov, etc.). It should be noted that one of the main tasks of the complex is to remind college students and everyone around them that we are a great civilization that invented the Mendeleev table, non-Euclidean geometry, laser and spaceships.

The Alabuga Polytech headquarters is designed for more than 2,000 people. Its residents have access to several areas for work and leisure: an assembly center for 750 people, a multifunctional sports and games hall, catering areas, meeting rooms and classrooms.

The ceremonial event included a live transmission from Alabuga Polytech's flight control center, where the students spoke about Alabuga's development plans for the next 25 years. «Our goal is to colonize the moons of Jupiter» Alabuga Polytech collegiate students boldly declared.

 Afterwards, the guests viewed the statues of great personalities installed in the lobby, next to which a free space was provided so that every student or employee could imagine themselves in the same row with the great reformers.

Afterwards, the delegation toured the assessment center, where the Business Cats game developed in the SEZ was presented: «Such rooms for assessments are created for the guys to learn how to interact with each other. We have guys from all over the country here» said Timur Shagivaleev, General Director of SEZ Alabuga, presenting the assessment center. - I mentioned our software that we have developed - Business Cats. It seems to be a light program where a person plays a business game. But at the same time, the simulation helps to effectively identify talents, leadership qualities, entrepreneurial abilities and communication skills».

The honorees also toured the apartments where the company's employees and Alabuga Polytech college students live. The rooms of Alabuga Polytech headquarters are equipped with furniture and all necessary appliances for a comfortable stay. «All the rooms are very functional» emphasized Rais (Head) of Tatarstan.

«This is amazing!», - Kostin appreciated the infrastructure of the Alabuga Polytech headquarters and the company's development plans.

After the opening ceremony, the participants headed to the Alabuga Polytech Education Center, where they toured the classrooms and talked to college students. The guests highly appreciated the dual training program, under which college students study on modern equipment under the mentorship of the best engineers of the resident plants of SEZ Alabuga in the first half of the day, and in the second half of the day they study subjects in specialized secondary education institutions. At the same time, they undergo internships in the company's specialized divisions. Upon completion of training, graduates become highly qualified and in-demand specialists in the labor market, having work experience behind them.
