Tatarstan has invested 1.8 billion rubles to building rental housing for employees of companies-residents of the special economic zone «Alabuga». This was reported today by the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of Tatarstan Yuri Alyashev.

«The complex includes 40 cottages, two apartment houses, a school and a kindergarten with a swimming pool. Construction will be completed before November 1, 2015, the total cost of all objects, including utilities and roads, is about 1.8 billion rubles,» — he said.

According to him, the complex has its own water treatment plant, as well as local treatment facilities with biological processing of sewage. Customer construction made itself SEZ funding comes from the authorized capital of «Alabuga», which is financed by the federal and regional budgets.

According to the Head of PR Department of SEZ «ALABUGA» Mihail Mironov, the majority of residential buildings have been built and handed over to employees of resident companies. «At the moment, handed over about half of the houses and apartments,» — he said.

«Alabuga» — the largest special economic zone of industrial-production type in Russia, established in 2005 in Yelabuga. SEZ area is 40 square kilometers. In «Alabuga» works 45 residents, the volume of investment on the January 1, 2015 amounted to 86.9 billion rubles, including 28.2 billion — during 2014. The enterprises of SEZ in 2005 produced goods worth 133 billion rubles.
