The representatives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan visit SEZ Alabuga

On 26 November the leadership of Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan including vice chairman Zamshed Urakov visited Alabuga SEZ. The guests were accompanied by Shamil Ageev the Chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the framework of the visit the delegation members were told about the work and projects of the company. Besides, during the highlight tour the guests could evaluate the scale and infrastructure of SEZ first hand.  

Delegations saw Alabuga Polytech biggest educational center where they train future industry professionals. The guest found out about dual study program at Polytech and also saw modern labs, where college students gain new knowledge and develop skills under the supervision of mentors who are engineers at Alabuga resident companies.

Also, representatives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan visited the “Robopallets” top-notch educational and production complex. It is an automated Industry 4.0 facility, where pallets are made not by carpenters but by robots. The Polytech students, in turn, tune automation and manage the process.

Let’s point it out, that pallet production factory is run by Alabuga Polytech’s graduate Ruzal Galimullin. He says, that the aim of this project is to teach students of Alabuga Polytech to use MES, SCADA, and ERP plant management platforms. Today “Robopallets” is one of the best-equipped complexes in the country.

Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan, Zamshed Urakov was impressed by what he saw and wondered about using the educational experience of Alabuga in Uzbekistan:

“Today we have visited an excellent economic zone with good preferences and support from the state. You managed to create high-tech production facilities, supplying not only Russian demand but also demand abroad. Besides, I would like to mention the high level of production localization. I was impressed. Besides, let’s highlight the center for staff training. It is great that at Alabuga they think about the future and train specialists to fill in its own demand. I saw an excellent educational platform and how dual education is implemented. I am sure that we can incorporate some ideas into our work in Uzbekistan”.

Alabuga is the No. 1 special economic zone in Russia. Today, it is a full-cycle partner that provides the best utility, construction, personnel, and social infrastructure. In the territory of SEZ, there are over 30 unique import phase-out production facilities that are leaders in their industry sectors. The total amount of private investment is 164 billion rubles, with 12 thousand jobs created, and the residents’ revenue in 2022 amounted to 138 billion rubles.
