Today within the working visit to Tatarstan the special economic zone “Alabuga” was visited by Yuri Borisov, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. The guest was accompanied by Alexey Pesoshin, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Timur Shagivaleev, the CEO of the SEZ “Alabuga”.
Timur Shagivaleev presented to the guest the infrastructure and opportunities that the SEZ “Alabuga” provides to residents. Also the CEO of the SEZ spoke about the implemented projects at the site, in particular projects of the composite cluster.
It will be recalled that the SEZ “Alabuga” is a part of the “Composites without borders cluster” creation of which was initiated by the UMATEX Group (Rosatom) together with the Association of clusters and industrial parks in order to ensure substantial growth of the composites market, as well as create a complete technological chain of polymer composite materials’ production.
In addition, the delegation visited the “Alabuga-Fiber” plant and could evaluate the world-class infrastructure created for residents.
Also during the visit to the SEZ “Alabuga” Yuri Borisov held a meeting on the production and use of composite materials in aviation industry.
As a result of the visit, Yury Borisov appreciated the level of the special economic zone “Alabuga” and noted: “In general, I am satisfied with the trip. Didn’t believe it until passed myself”.
