On December 27, Supervisory board of SEZ “Alabuga” headed by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has approved three investment projects of the companies: Karboform, ACL Holding, Eco Pak and expansion of the production of Alabuga residents: Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry and Ford Sollers Elabuga.
The project of the “Karboform” company provides production of synthetic resins. The total investment in the project will amount to 1.3 billion rubles. 100 workplaces will be created.
The next investment project is “EcoPack”. It will place the production of biodegradable disposable tableware from molded cellulose fiber. The total investment in the project is 188.9 million rubles with a staff of 30 people. The company plans to place production in the territory of the industrial park Synergy-2.
The project of “ACL Holding” involves the production of energy-efficient highly specialized ventilation and air conditioning systems with an investment volume of 145 million rubles. 52 workplaces will be created. The company will place production in the industrial park Synergy.
“Alabuga confirmed its leadership in all indicators in the Russian Federation in 2019. Now, in accordance with the appeals of several regional leaders to Rustam Minnikhanov, we are making a decision on choosing a location for two new area in those parts of the country where the creation of the SEZ is demanded by business,” said Timur Shagivaleev, CEO of the SEZ “Alabuga”.
Also at a meeting of the Supervisory Board residents of the Alabuga SEZ announced information on expanding production. Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry has expanded product line. Ford Sollers Elabuga announced about organization of the production of AURUS automobiles on the plant.
In conclusion, Rustam Minnikhanov positively assessed the results of the special zone “Alabuga” in the past year: “We are ending the year with decent results. There are certain difficulties caused by sanctions. But despite this, a special zone is developing, investors are being attracted, and new interesting projects are being implemented”.
