Tatarstan hospitals to receive 54 Ford Transit ambulances

Ford Sollers will supply 54 class “B” ambulances based on Ford Transit to Tatarstan hospitals by order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. The order was completed within the framework of the ambulance station fleet renewal program, the cars will be distributed to the cities and regional centers of the Republic.

Ford Sollers and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan have a long-term relationship, during which the ambulances based on Ford Transit have proven themselves to be excellent. The first order from the Ministry came in 2012, and over the past 3 years, Ford Sollers has produced about 300 ambulances for the needs of the region. The choice in favor of Ford Transit was dictated by the high reliability of the vehicles, their full adaptation to operation in Russian conditions, the possibility of equipping in accordance with the requirements and needs of the customer, as well as the low cost of service and the presence of a developed dealer network with a high level of service.

The cars are produced on the basis of a front-wheel drive all-metal Ford Transit van with a long wheelbase, a 2.2 L (125 hp) diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission.

Class B ambulances Ford Transit are equipped with modern equipment in accordance with the requirements of the Russia Ministry of Health. The complete set of the car includes: a ventilator, a defibrillator, an electrocardiograph with microprocessor control and automatic ECG processing with the possibility of remote data transmission, a wheelchair for transporting patients and other necessary equipment. The high-tech equipment of the cars is complemented by the GLONASS satellite navigation system and tablet computers. The cars have all the conditions for resuscitation and intensive care.

The production of Ford Transit has been established at the Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga using a full-cycle technology, which makes it possible to offer Russian buyers a modern product adapted to operation in Russian conditions at a competitive price. The line of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis, cars are available to order with three base lengths, two roof heights and all types of drive, including all-wheel drive. To date, the full range of special versions of vehicles based on Ford Transit includes 141 different modifications for special and social purposes and continues to grow.

Ford Sollers Elabuga LLC is a renewed joint venture between SOLLERS PJSC and Ford Motor Company. It produces Ford Transit cars using full-cycle technology at its own plant in the SEZ "Alabuga" (Elabuga, Republic of Tatarstan). SOLLERS PJSC is the managing shareholder with a 51% share in the authorized capital. The renewed joint venture officially began operations in July 2019.
