"August" invests 2.2 billion rubles in the construction of a dairy complex in the Menzelinsky district of Tatarstan

The August company launched another large-scale project in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of high-tech animal husbandry. The second robotic dairy complex for 2,400 heads has begun to be built in the Menzelinsky district of Tatarstan. A year ago, a similar project has already started in the Muslyumovsky district. The new complex will be built up in two stages: the first is planned to be completed in 2021, the second in 2023. The volume of investments, including the construction of farms, the purchase of the necessary equipment and a highly productive herd, is provided in the amount of 1.1 billion rubles for each stage. The complex will be equipped with an automated milking system and modern cross-ventilation.
In the Menzelinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, near the village of Stepanovka, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new robotic dairy complex for 2,400 dairy cows. The implementation of the next project here is started by LLC "August-Muslyum" - an enterprise within the "Agroproject" company "August". The solemn ceremony was attended by, among others, General Director of JSC Firm "August" Alexander Uskov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, Head of the Executive Committee Menzelinsky municipal district Kamil Nazmiev, general director of the management company "August-Agro" Aydar Galyautdinov and general director of LLC "August-Muslyum" Vladimir Zalyaiskalns.
The company "August" is already building a similar dairy farm in the Muslyumovsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Both farms will be equipped with an automatic milking system and modern cross-ventilation. The construction of the first stage of the complex in the Menzelinsky district for 1200 heads is planned to be completed in 2021, the second stage - in 2023. Total investment in this project will amount to about 2.2 billion rubles.

When the first stage of the new dairy complex is completed, heifers of the highly yielding Holstein breed will be brought here. In Agroproject, the August company staked on high-tech animal husbandry, which allows maintaining the productivity of animals by creating a comfortable habitat for them.
“The cowsheds will be equipped with a cross-ventilation system: it provides for the placement of ventilation curtains through which air enters and large fans that draw it out, across the entire width of the barn. Thus, fresh air will suffice for every animal. As for robotization and automation, we are introducing the so-called voluntary milking system: this means that milking does not have a specific time, and the cow can enter the milking and dairy unit by herself, and not twice a day, but four or five - that much, how much do you need. The stress from additional contacts with the farm employees is also minimized, and the animals in general feel more comfortable, ” Aidar Galyautdinov, General Director of the August-Agro Management Company, told about the peculiarities of keeping animals at the new commercial dairy farm.
At the end of the ceremony, Vladimir Zalyayskalns, General Director of Avgust-Muslyum LLC, was awarded a letter of gratitude from the head of the Menzelinsky municipal district for his contribution to the development of the local agro-industrial complex.
