Residents of SEZ "Alabuga" were marked at the final meeting of the Investors Club

On December 9, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the final meeting of the Investors' Club in Kazan was held.
The meeting was attended by members of the club, heads of large enterprises of the republic and state authorities.
The awarding "Investor of the Year" became a landmark ceremony for the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency to sum up the results of the year.
KASTAMONU INTEGRATED WOOD INDUSTRY became the Honorary Reinvestor of the Year.
During its operation, the Kastamonu enterprise located in the SEZ "Alabuga" has invested more than 771.8 million US dollars in the region, which makes it the largest Turkish investor in the republic and the second among the SEZ residents. In addition, thanks to the opening of the plant in the region, 930 jobs were created directly in production, as well as 2,500 in related areas and service industries - logging, transport, furniture. The company is constantly evolving, so in 2021 it is planned to expand production capacity and increase production volumes.
“A strong economy largely depends on stable business development. We have always tried to be self-sufficient. We have many projects that we plan to implement in our republic. I am sure that all of them will be implemented. Of course, many of these projects require new approaches. Despite all the difficulties, we will continue to support investors and businesses. Our well-being largely depends on your activities,” stressed the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Investment activity largely determines the welfare of the regions. In Tatarstan, it is represented by an extensive infrastructure and a large-scale number of companies from different countries. For 9 months of this year, the volume of private investment amounted to 336.5 billion rubles. The most active foreign investors were Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands and Finland.
“Kastamonu is the largest MDF production site in Europe. We regularly develop and increase production volumes, implementing an innovative approach and introducing advanced technologies. Despite a difficult year due to the pandemic, we continued to support the region, since investments in the SEZ Alabuga have always been one of the priority issues of our activities, "said Ali Kiliç, General Director of Kastamonu in Russia."
Residents of the SEZ "Alabuga" for the production of plant protection "August-Alabuga" and disposable tableware "Huhtamaki Foodservice Alabuga" also received a special gratitude from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov for his contribution to the implementation of investment projects. The total investment in enterprises amounted to $ 72 million and $ 7.4 million, respectively.
