In St. Petersburg, within the framework of the 32nd IPMA World Congress, the results of the annual competition of professional project management «Project Olympus» were summed up, where the subsidiary construction company «Alabuga» - «Alabuga Development» - took 2nd place in the top category «Megaprojects».
From September 21 to 23, the 32nd IPMA World Congress «Project Management in the Era of Digital Transformation» was held in the northern capital, which is being held for the eighth time by the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation with the support of key organizations. The event was attended by organizations from around the world: Russia, India, the Netherlands, Australia, Austria, China, Serbia and others.
«Alabuga Development», a company with extensive experience in the implementation of facilities at various stages of construction, specializing in the integrated management of investment and construction projects, took an active part in both in-person and online format in this event. In the territory of «Alabuga» special economic zone, 15 plants were built in 4 years with the supervision of «Alabuga Development»: ROCKWOOL, a modern plant for the production of PAN-precursor and others.
As part of the congress, the winners and prize-winners of the eighth annual competition of professional project management «Project Olympus» were awarded, where the construction company SEZ «Alabuga» took 2nd place in the category «Megaprojects». In addition, «Alabuga Development» was awarded a special diploma for its contribution to the development of high technologies and ensuring national security. "Participation in the project gave us invaluable experience and the opportunity to study the latest global trends in project management from the best practitioners of the digitalization era, make new acquaintances with the participants of the competition and increase the awareness of Alabuga Development," Sergey Petrov, Deputy project Manager for Design, shared his emotions.
AGILE methods, aspects of digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence in project management, green energy issues were also discussed at the congress. Special attention was paid to the development of project management specialists.
This competition is held by the analytical center under the Government of the Russian Federation. Welcoming the participants of the Congress, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, noted the importance of holding such events in terms of presenting best practices, exchanging experience and discussing all the details of the project approach in management. "The exchange of experience and best practices is one of the main tasks of this competition," said Konstantin Kalinin, head of the Analytical Center, addressing the participants of the award ceremony.
