The competition task involved modelling of a multi-storey residential building.
Mikhail Astanin, a first-year student at Alabuga Polytech and junior specialist at Alabuga Development, took second place in the finals of the “Professionals” championship in the field of creative industries and information technology. He outperformed 194 competitors, showcasing a high level of expertise in his field.
His success comes from an effective combination of theoretical learning and hands-on experience. While studying BIM design, Mikhail took part in real-world projects at Alabuga Development, gaining invaluable experience in integral management of investment and construction projects. The support of experienced mentors also played a crucial role in his achievement.
According to Astanin, the three-day competition included modelling of a 17-storey residential building, project scheduling, entering attribute data, designing engineering systems, and developing equipment using the STDL language.
“The task was more time-consuming than difficult, and the competition was incredibly tough. I think we were all on the same level, but my training and guidance from mentors allowed me to outdo the majority of competitors. Competitions like this offer invaluable experience and a chance to sharpen skills in my field,” said the silver medallist.
