Alabuga SEZ at World Youth Festival
The specialists at Alabuga SEZ organized a meta-game for participants at the World Youth Festival, which took place at Syrius federal territory from February 29th to March 7th. The purpose of this initiative was to raise awareness about the company and attract new staff. The World Youth Festival welcomed 20,000 young leaders from 188 countries.
The “Industria” meta-game is a team business simulation where every participant plays a specific role, such as general director, deputy general director for new plants development, deputy director for finance, PR department, and others. Participants work together to develop an industry by building new production plants in various fields, reinvesting funds, drawing up agreements with contractors, and managing labour. This game was created by Alabuga SEZ's employees and modeled after its managing company.
In addition to young people from various Russian cities, guests from Egypt, Tunisia, Benin, and Argentina also participated in the game. The participants found the event enjoyable, with Anastasiya Borisova from Irkutskaya oblast noting that the game develops soft skills.
During the festival, the HR department's staff negotiated with representatives from youth organizations, ministries of sports, and young people from around the world, strengthening relationships for future successful collaborations. The company believes that attracting qualified personnel is crucial for the country's development, and young leaders with talent and energy are essential for implementing key projects in Russia.
Alabuga SEZ aims to attract proactive young people who may join the “100 Leaders” employment programme. It is open to 19 to 27-year-old specialists with secondary special education or higher education from all over the country. Candidates without experience may still be hired and have the opportunity to succeed in their careers.
To participate in the programme, candidates must apply and pass the Business cats simulation. Successful candidates will then be invited to a weeklong assessment, including accommodation and meals provided by the company. The assessment includes an interview with Alabuga SEZ's managers and heads of departments, as well as the development and defense of a final project. Upon completion, the best candidates will be hired. In 2023, 1000 people passed the full-time stage, and 80% of them received job offers.
In 2023, the “100 Leaders” leadership programme won the All-Russian competition for the best employment practices in the nomination “Preservation and attraction of young people's human resource capacity.”
