The Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, conducted a working visit to the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

During his visit, Alikhanov observed the impressive scale of Russia's premier Special Economic Zone (SEZ), toured the largest factories of resident companies, and met their management to discuss current challenges and future prospects for the Russian automobile industry. He also familiarized himself with the implementation of investment projects, production processes, and the latest innovations within the automotive sector.

During the tour, the minister visited the Aurus plant, where premium Russian cars are manufactured. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation explored the range of models produced, including the Aurus Komendant SUV and the Aurus Senat sedan. Additionally, Alikhanov toured the Sollers Alabuga plant, which specializes in producing light commercial vehicles.

During his visit to Tatarstan, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized the significance of advancing the domestic automotive industry for the nation's economy. He expressed confidence in the successful execution of the import substitution program within this sector. Additionally, he acknowledged that the republic places considerable importance on the development of this industry, which is highly regarded.

The largest educational center in Russia, Alabuga Polytech, attracted significant attention from visitors. They explored the unique aspects of the learning process and examined the state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories. Additionally, the guests engaged in direct conversations with the students of Alabuga Polytech. Alikhanov expressed his admiration for the human resources potential at Alabuga Polytech.
