The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Xi Jinping the President of China during the BRICS summit in Kazan.
During the discussion, Putin highlighted that numerous collaborative projects are currently underway between China and Russia, with some of these initiatives taking place in Tatarstan.
He emphasized the significance of developing the new logistics complex, a project being performed by the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
"A new logistics center has been established in Tatarstan, named after Deng Xiaoping. This facility will facilitate cargo transportation between our countries," Putin stated.
The President emphasized that in the past 75 years, the relationship between Russia and China has evolved into a comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation. He expressed confidence that this relationship serves as a model for how countries should build their relations in today's world.
"In the new era, you and I always pay increased attention to China-Russia relations and keep them under personal control," Xi Jinping said.
The new logistics complex will play a crucial role in the region's transportation infrastructure and will enhance trade and investment relations between Russia and China.
