Wagnermaier plant had an opening ceremony at Alabuga Special Economic Zone. Wagnermaier will manufacture long-haul semi-trailers. Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of Tatarstan, took part in the ceremony.
The total investment in the project will be 745 million rubles. The factory will create 200 new jobs.
The new tenant of Alabuga SEZ plans to make up to 3 thousand curtain-sided, drop-side, container semi-trailers annually. It will enable us to bridge the shortage of semi-trailers on the Russian market.
Let us note that Wagnermaier is located in the ready-for-operation Synergy Heavy facility that was built by Alabuga SEZ. It is a unique building because the ceiling is 14.5 m high and it has crane tracks with a load capacity of 10 tons. Thanks to these characteristics, the resident was able to deliver the equipment in the shortest time and launch the production.
As Minnikhanov noted, factory’s produce will be in demand in Tatarstan, which has a strong background in truck manufacturing. Besides, Wagnermaier plans to localize the production of semi-trailers, which will ensure that the goods are better protected against sanctions.

The facility that was constructed by Alabuga Special Economic Zone triggered the implementation of such needed for our country semi-trailers’ production. We are witnessing how fast cargo transportation market is growing today. Moreover, delivering cargo by truck is one of the main means of transportation today. Our Republic is the largest producer of long-haul trucks, these trucks will be timely completed with world-class semi-trailers,” said Rustam Minnikhanov.
