Oleg Korobchenko, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan; Taliya Minullina, Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency; and Uğur Yılmaz, Turkish Consul General in Kazan, had a business tour of the Alabuga special economic zone. The delegation met with managers of SEZ’s Turkish resident plants, during meetings, they discussed current issues and plans for the growth of the company.
Thus, the guests had a tour of Trakya Glass Rus, flat glass mirrors, coated glasses manufacturer; Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry, producer of wood-based panels company; and Coskunuz, Production of car body parts manufacturer.
“For me, visiting Alabuga is a great chance to get to know our businesspeople. I had a tour around Alabuga special economic zone. It is the best SEZ in Europe. I have witnessed how our executives invest in Tatarstan. The quality of work is exceptional, large plants. I will do my best to increase our funding for both Tatarstan in Turkey, and Turkey in Tatarstan and the Russian Federation,” said the Turkish Consul General.
Then the delegation visited Alabuga Polytech, the largest educational center that trains qualified labor, with a planned capacity of 10,000 people. The guests found out about the dual-study program implemented at Polytech; moreover, they had a visit to top-notch labs, where, under the tactful guidance of engineers from resident plants, the students learn the theory and master their skills.
“I am delighted! You would like to see such educational centers in Turkey. Here, at a young age they receive contemporary education and work experience,” shared his impressions Mr.Yılmaz
In the end, the guests visited the headquarters of Alabuga Polytech and had a meeting with general directors of the Turkish companies—the residents of SEZ Alabuga.

It is not by chance, it was awarded as the best special economic zone in Russia and Europe,” said Oleg Korobchenko, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.
