Rustam Minnikhanov approves new 18 billion-resident for "Alabuga"

08.12.2017
On December 8, during his working visit to Yelabuga municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

The meeting considered a project of Proteluks Company, a potential resident of the Alaguba Special Economic Zone.

The project envisages the construction of a plant for the production of bio-protein, the basis of feed additives for livestock, in the Alabuga SEZ. A similar project has been recently approved by the Supervisory Board of the Lotos SEZ in Astrakhan region. However, Member of Board of Directors of Proteluks Company Yevgeny Luneev said the project in Alabuga will be implemented first, since the Astrakhan SEZ is at the initial stage of its development.

The amount of investment in the Russia’s first plant for the production of bio-protein will make 18 billion roubles.
Bio-protein is a high-quality fodder additive similar in composition to fishmeal. The technology to produce bio-protein will be used for the first time in Russia. The technological process replicates the natural process of the appearance of the bio-protein in nature. The estimated production of bio-protein in Alabuga is 100,000 tonnes per year.

Minnikhanov appreciated the importance of this project for the Russian economy and gave an errand to relevant ministries and agencies to provide the company overall support in implementing the project.
