Powers on management of the special economic zone "Alabuga" are completely delegated to the Republic of Tatarstan. The relevant agreement is signed between the Government of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The agreement supposes that all the work of the SEZ is now fully coordinated by the Government of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has only monitoring functions.
Change of management mechanism will not influence the work of the operating residents, it will simplify the procedure for obtaining resident status by new investors. At the same time all tax benefits and preferences provided earlier remain.
