Adil Shirinov — President and CEO Ford Sollers

Adil Shirinov has been working for the Ford Sollers JV since its foundation in 2011 as first vice president and chief operating officer and played a key role in successful steering the business through the challenging period in the Russian market, significantly contributing to the company’s development in the field of localization and its manufacturing footprint.


Before joining Ford Sollers in 2011, Adil Shirinov was deputy general director and commercial director of SOLLERS and was responsible for managing all commercial negotiations with partners. Prior to that he served as general director of all business units in Tatarstan, including Elabuga and Naberezhnie Chelny plants. Shirinov played a key part in the organizing of state of the art production facilities in Tatarstan, and leading the strategic cooperation with partners such as Fiat, SsangYong and Isuzu. Prior to joining SOLLERS, Shirinov was the deputy general director at RusPromAvto OJSC, from 1999-2002 he worked for Ford Motor Company in Russia and was the first employee of the new manufacturing project in Vsevolozhsk. He was employed as the director for production and non-production procurement, and later as the regional purchasing director (Povolzhye).

Shirinov graduated from Nizhniy Novgorod Institute of Foreign Languages, and earned an MBA degree at the International Management Institute, Saint Petersburg (IMISP).
