3.5 billion rubles of subsidies allocated by the federal budget for the development of the Alabuga SEZ will allow to continue construction and modernization of infrastructure facilities on the site of the special economic zone.

The decree on the allocation of subsidies from the federal budget was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. These subsidies are allocated to the Republic of Tatarstan in the form of an intergovernmental transfer to compensate for the costs of the region for the construction, modernization and reconstruction of infrastructure facilities. The funds will be sent in several tranches: in 2018, RT will receive 1.086 billion rubles, offsetting the costs for the development of the SEZ, incurred in 2017. On these funds the production building of the service metal center "MMK-Dzhokkunoz Alabuga" and additional railway tracks on the container site has been built.

In 2019 from the federal budget for the development of infrastructure "Alabuga" is expected to allocate 1.46 billion rubles, in 2020 - 1.1 billion rubles. The corresponding investment program for the construction and reconstruction of facilities is currently being formed.

So, in 2018 it is planned to further expand the capacity of the railway infrastructure and build roads to the sites of new residents. Also federal subsidies will be directed to the implementation of the project for the production of PAN-precursor - raw materials for the production of carbon fiber. The investment project is being implemented by the SEZ "Alabuga" jointly with the SC "Rosatom".
