"Alabuga" was recognized as the best SEZ in Europe for the third time in a row

The special economic zone «Alabuga» for the third time in a row was named the best SEZ in Europe for large residents according to the international magazine fDi intelligence. This issue of the Financial Times group annually publishes a rating of the best special zones around the world, and the SEZ Alabuga was awarded the title of the best SEZ in Europe for large tenants in 2015, 2016 and in 2017.
Also for the second time in a row, Alabuga received an «honorable mention» in a similar category in the «global» category — the Jebel Ali free zone in the United Arab Emirates became the best SEZ in the world for large residents.
The rating experts noted the achievements of Alabuga in 2016 — the expansion of infrastructure through the acquisition of Elabuga heating power plant, the Alabuga City Hotel. Also, the management company SEZ Alabuga now provides services of the construction of premises for rent in accordance with the requirements of the investor — build-to-suit.
From Russia there was also noted «Titanium Valley» — as the best SEZ for metallurgical industries. Special economic zone «Togliatti» was included in the list of special zones «once to watch». SEZ «Lipetsk» has become one of the sites marked «for the expansion of existing production facilities», «Alabuga» is also mentioned in this list for the construction of the second stage of the plant «Hayat Kimya».
