Ford Sollers plant in the "Alabuga" produced a 150-thousandth car

Ford Sollers announces the achievement of a new milestone in the Russian production of Ford cars. A 150,000th car came off the assembly line of the company's plant in the special economic zone "Alabuga". At the modern enterprise located in the Special economic zone "Alabuga", now on technology of a full cycle - with welding and painting of bodies - the mid-size crossover Ford Kuga, 7-seater off-road car Explorer Explorer and various versions of light commercial car Ford Transit are producing.

The jubilee vehicle has become Ford Transit, intended for a corporate vehicle fleet. Vans, chassis and minibuses Ford Transit, as well as special versions based on them, produced with the help of certified bodybuilders, are the leaders in sales in the segment of light commercial vehicles of foreign brands in Russia. It is symbolic that it was the Ford Transit that was the first model to enter the assembly line in 2012. Currently, versions of special and social purpose based on Ford Transit are used in various fields of Russian business, as well as social services.

The main volume of cars produced in "Alabuga" was made by crossovers of Ford Kuga, which are enjoying growing popularity in Russia. Last year, the sales of Ford Kuga in Russia grew by 54%, 13,000 cars have been sold, making the model the second-largest seller of the Russian Ford line.

The flagship SUV Ford Explorer is currently the leader among Ford models in the dynamics of sales growth. In 2017, its sales grew by 65%, following the results of 5 months of 2018 this rate was preserved.

The production at the Ford Sollers plant in "Alabuga" started in January 2012, when the Ford Transit company entered the assembly line. Later, the model range of the produced cars was expanded by Ford Explorer and Ford Kuga. The plant and its products meet the global Ford quality standards.
