20.05.2025

On May 20, Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Pyotr Fradkov, Chairman of Promsvyazbank PJSC (PSB Bank), visited the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ). During the visit, they got acquainted with cutting-edge manufacturing sites and promising projects aimed at strengthening the country's technological sovereignty.

Special attention was paid to Alabuga Polytech, a training center for highly qualified personnel. Both Minnikhanov and Fradkov gave a high rating to the center's capabilities, which are aligned with the requirements of modern industry. Currently, it serves over 5,000 students from 84 regions across Russia and 6 CIS countries. With an annual capacity of 10,000 students, the center stands out for its dual education model: from the very first year, students are mentored by professional engineers and receive hands-on experience while working at high-tech manufacturing facilities.

Timur Shagivaleev, CEO of the Alabuga SEZ, presented upcoming projects to the Tatarstan leader and the PSB’s chairman, emphasizing their strategic importance in achieving Russia’s technological independence and creating new jobs.

As part of the visit, a new Promsvyazbank branch was officially opened within one of Alabuga’s office buildings. The branch is designed to serve the zone’s workforce without interrupting their daily operations.

“Alabuga SEZ is one of the leading industrial clusters in Russia. The enterprises located here play strategic role in supporting the regional economy and driving growth across various business sectors,” said Pyotr Fradkov. “PSB renders every assistance to the SEZ Alabuga. The opening of our office here ensures that employees have easy access to a full range of banking services right at their workplace—saving time and simplifying financial management. Our goal is to provide fast, convenient, and client-centered banking services wherever our customers are.”

In addition, Fradkov and Minnikhanov visited the luxury vehicle AURUS’ production plant. The management team showcased the Senat and Komendant models and highlighted the high level of domestic production.

The Alabuga SEZ hosts 43 unique import-substitution enterprises, each a leader in its sector. The zone currently has created over 25,000 jobs, with total investments exceeding 183 billion rubles and annual revenues of 238 billion rubles from its resident companies.
