Rustam Minnikhanov announces ambitious goal: 10,000 Students to enroll at Alabuga Polytech by 2025

Today, September 27, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan delivered his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan. In his speech, he highlighted the critical role of workforce training in the republic. He pointed to the Alabuga Special Economic Zone as a prime example, where the Alabuga Polytech operates as the largest educational center focused on developing high-tech entrepreneurs.

“Currently, we have around 5,500 students enrolled here,” Minnikhanov stated. “We aim to expand this number to 10,000 students by next year,” he added.

This year, Alabuga Polytech welcomed 3,000 applicants. A dual training program is being implemented within the walls of the Polytech, within which college students study on modern equipment in the first half of the day under the mentorship of the best engineers of the resident plants of the Alabuga SEZ, and in the second half, they study subjects in institutions of secondary special education. At the same time, they undergo internships in the company's structural divisions. Upon graduation, graduates become highly qualified and in-demand specialists in the labor market, having work experience.

Additionally, the head of Tatarstan highlighted the impressive performance of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, pointing out several key achievements: 39 resident factories are currently operating successfully, over 17,000 jobs have been created, and total investments have surpassed 317 billion rubles.
