Alabuga Polytech educational center will host the federal stage of the “Best Employee” challenge and nominate “The Best Chemistry Lab Technician”. The decision about hosting the event in 2024 was made at the contest organizing committee’s meeting that took place in the framework of the Russia International Expo-Forum at VDNH Exhibition of National Economy Achievements.

The discussion was attended by Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Anton Kotyakov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation; as well as employees of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, Rostrud, the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications, deputies of the State Duma of Russia, and others. The application of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented by Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Elmira Zaripova, the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Tatarstan long ago won the title of the one of the largest chemistry and petrochemistry centers. Our plants produce 60% of polystyrene, and 30% of polyethylen,” emphasized Fazleeva.

Today, 41,000 people work at Tatarstan’s chemical plants; specifically, thanks to them, chemical complex of the Republic takes the leading role in the country.

Fazleeva reminded me that SEZ Alabuga is one of most efficient special zones in Russia. Alabuga occupies 64% of the revenue of all special economic zones in Russia. 33 residents already work in Alabuga, and 16,000 jobs have been created here.

“Alabuga has the entire necessary infrastructure to organize the challenge. It has to be said about the high level of physical infrastructure in Alabuga,” said the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatartsan. “Besides, we can tell about Tatarstan’s rich experience acquired during the major championships and social events where they identified the best in profession. We are positive that we will ensure that all contest’s procedures will be conducted at the highest organizational and substantive level.”

Alabuga Polytech is the largest educational center in Russia, with a capacity of 10,000 students per year, it trains qualified labor and implements a dual education program.

Thus, the college students in the first half of the day master their skills on modern equipment under the mentorship of the best engineers from SEZ Alabuga’s resident-plants, and in the second half, they study secondary-vocational subjects. Upon graduation, the alumni become highly qualified and in-demand professionals on the job market, already having work experience.
