02.12.2021

On December 2, during the Eurasian Congress, the Chairman of the EDB Board Nikolai Podguzov and the General Director of JSC SEZ "PPT Alabuga" Timur Shagivaleev signed a partnership agreement.

Earlier, the Supervisory Board of "Alabuga" approved a breakthrough development scenario, which implies co-financing in new private projects in the amount of 200 billion rubles over the next 5 years. In addition, "Alabuga" was instructed to develop new sites in the Republic of Tatarstan and in the country as a whole. The EDB, as a partner, will finance these sites in the amount of 36 billion rubles, since the experience and brand of "Alabuga" is very popular among the regions of our country.

At the moment, "Alabuga" is the most effective special economic zone. Actual private investments amounted to 152 billion rubles, 33 operating resident plants are leaders in their industries, including such foreign companies as Ford, Rockwool, Armstrong, 3M, Kastamonu, Hayat, Air Liquide, Şişecam. In total, more than 9 thousand people work at the enterprises of SEZ "Alabuga", in 2021 the revenue of residents will exceed 120 billion rubles.

"The priorities of the EDB partnership with "Alabuga" SEZ are the provision of financing for the construction of both new "Alabuga" sites and the social infrastructure of the special economic zone. Just a week ago, on November 22, the supervisory board of SEZ "Alabuga" approved a breakthrough scenario for the development of a special zone, which involves investments in infrastructure in the amount of more than 200 billion rubles over 5 years. I am sure that the Eurasian Development Bank will become an active participant in the implementation of this scenario," Nikolai Podguzov said.

"Alabuga is not only the largest industrial special economic zone. Now we are creating the largest training center for high-tech workers in the country. Considering the opportunities presented by the Eurasian Community, we are very encouraged to believe that this synergy will be able to seriously complement our work," Timur Shagivaleev said.
