Sales of a resident of Alabuga "Sollers Ford" break records

A resident of "Alabuga" Special Economic Zone, "Sollers Ford", reported increased sales of Ford Transit cars: in 2021, the company sold 21452 new cars, with an increase of 47% compared to 2020.

The versatility of Ford Transit allows cars to be in demand both in the field of large business and among individual customers. Thus, 43% of all sales came from large corporate deliveries, while 57% were orders from small businesses, sole proprietors and private clients. The largest deliveries in 2021 were deliveries for the companies "Yandex.Drive" and "Russian Post".

"The sales result in 2021 is a systematic result of the coordinated work of our entire team. The year 2021 was very fruitful for us: the company acquired an engine plant, we supplied a new generation of buses to Mosgortrans, we were able to foresee all the difficulties associated with the supply of automotive components without allowing the plant to stop for an hour, launched the production of sandwich panels for the assembly of superstructures, opened a showroom at the "Ford Center Alabuga" plant, a subscription service for our cars was launched. Ford Transit has strengthened its leading position in the LCV segment, showing that the choice of customers is determined not only by price, but by quality, reliability and thoughtful functionality for doing business. We are confident in the competitiveness of our product, which allows us to build serious ambitious plans for 2022 to increase production on the territory of SEZ "Alabuga", create additional businesses related to the localization of the product line, as well as launch innovative technologies, financial instruments, solve issues on the introduction of electrification and digitalization to meet all the wishes of customers. We have planned for 2022 a number of new products and premieres that will allow us to strengthen our presence in the market and improve sales figures," commented Adil Shirinov, President and CEO of Sollers Ford.

Ford Transit production has been established at the "Sollers Ford" plant in "Alabuga" SEZ using full-cycle technology, which allows us to offer Russian customers a modern product, fully customized for the buyer and adapted to operation in Russian conditions, at a competitive price. The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis, cars are available to order with three base length options, two roof height options and all types of drive, including full. To date, the full range of special versions of cars based on Ford Transit has 170 different modifications for special and social purposes and continues to be replenished.
