Alabuga International School have visited Serbia

30.12.2022

At the beginning of December, 11 students from 6 to 10 grades from Alabuga International School visited the Republic of Serbia. The students spent a week at the International School Crnjanski with a focus on STEAM (science, technologies, engineering, art, mathematics) in the city of Jagodina, where they studied the Cambridge curriculum.

The International School Crnjanski was not chosen by chance. The founder of this private school is the company Visokogradnja Inženjering LTD. The company specializes in the construction of housing and industrial facilities. The organization has built more than 30 000 m2 of apartments and more than 100 000 m2 of facilities. Among the non-standard projects are the zoo and the city stadium in Jagodina. This company also emphasizes the development of children's technical knowledge and skills.

Alabuga International School students held a team-leadership tournament with Serbian students, the main value of which is the development of children's leadership potential and teamwork through identifying the potential of team members in math, robotics and sports, delegating tasks and analyzing results. Mentors and AIS students also passed on their knowledge of advanced competencies in robotics, and introduced and taught financial literacy to Serbian children through the «Business Cats» business simulation.

International School Crnjanski teachers were given the necessary instructions and access to «Business Cats» so that, in the future, students at the school could go through the simulation on their own.

Also part of the exchange program were math quizzes, debates on GMOs, artificial intelligence and social media. The event helped the mixed team of students bond and improve their analytical skills.

During the trip, Alabuga International School and International School Crnjanski had the opportunity to exchange academic experiences and establish friendly relations
