Resident of "Alabuga" organized a "Cardboard Theater" for children

06.06.2017
Kastamonu in cooperation with its partner Stora Enso held a social and environmental campaign dedicated to the Children’s Day and Ecologist Day in Russia. Using ecological materials obtained from renewable and FSC-certified sources, unique interactive performances of the Cardboard Theater for children were organized in Moscow and Yelabuga.

Kastamonu and Stora Enso are traditional adherents of international environmental standards and actively promote ideas of resource saving and minimal impact on the environment. Understanding the importance of environmental education both among one’s own employees and among the general public, the companies implement a comprehensive program for the popularization of responsible attitude to the nature.

«The development of ecological culture through the conduct of interactive social and environmental activities is a new, interesting and effective approach,» noted Cenk Büyüküstün, General Director of Kastamonu Marketing and trade. «It helps to foster a responsible attitude to the nature and its resources not only in children, but also adults, who help their children in a playful way to perceive such important for all of us principles.»

«It is important to draw people’s attention to the fact that even today we influence the future of many generations ahead. Our company focuses on caring for people and planet, sustainable development and expansion of the use of renewable wood-based materials, which can easily be replenished by planting new forests. And our corrugated cardboard is one of such universal materials,» said Alexei Ponomaryov, Deputy Director for Sales and Marketing of Stora Enso.
