At the peak of the construction season, the Alabuga team provided an update on the progress of the facility's construction.

As of the first half of 2024, construction at the Deng Xiaoping Logistics Complex has reached 54% completion, according to the project team.

The construction team has installed 56% of the sandwich panels and completed 80% of the roofing. Additionally, the preparation of the concrete floor is 34% complete.

Work on the railway infrastructure is also ongoing. By the end of the first half of the year: the drainage sewer pipes were installed at 100% completion, earthworks for drainage were 92% complete. As noted at the construction site, work on the project continues non-stop.

Recall that the Deng Xiaoping logistics complex will be situated in the Tukayevsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, facilitating the flow of logistics between China and the Volga Federal District.Deng Xiaoping Logistics Complex, spanning an area of 65 hectares, will become the largest in Russia. The 1.05-kilometer container yard will enable the simultaneous loading and unloading of an entire container train, eliminating the need for additional shunting operations.

This logistics complex will provide a comprehensive range of services, including cargo storage, loading and unloading, order management, inventory tracking, weighing, labeling, and shipment consolidation. With an impressive design capacity of 100,000 containers per year, this facility will significantly impact regional logistics operations.

As previously noted by Boris Titov, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs under the President of the Russian Federation, Deng Xiaoping Logistics Complex stands out as a premier investment project.

“It will become the largest in Russia, facilitating the arrival and departure of at least one train to China each week, and will also serve as a transshipment terminal for distributing goods throughout the rest of Russia,” Titov stated.
