Rustam Minnikhanov in his address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan highly appreciated the work of SEZ «Alabuga»

On October 20 the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressed to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. In his speech the head of the republic highly appreciated the ongoing projects of the special economic zone «Alabuga».

Thus, SEZ «Alabuga» and PAO «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» (a member of «Sibur») signed an agreement on August 31 on the creation of a new industrial park «Ethylene 600» with an area of about 2 thousand hectares. The total amount of private investments in the implementation of the project will be about 1.3 trillion rubles, and Alabuga's investments in infrastructure - 169 billion. According to Minnikhanov, such a project creates ample opportunities for the development of production in related industries.

«A new EP-600 olefin production complex is planned to be up and running in 2024. In addition, SIBUR and SEZ Alabuga have signed an agreement to create an industrial park in Nizhnekamsk. The range of products manufactured by Nizhnekamskneftekhim creates ample opportunities for the development of production in related industries. We are grateful to SIBUR for serious intentions and are ready to render support for development of productions on the territory of the Republic» noted the President of Tatarstan.

In addition, the most advanced in our country educational center for training skilled workers with a target capacity of 10 thousand people a year «Alabuga Polytechnic» functions on the territory of the SEZ. Rustam Minnikhanov called the college a good example of training qualified workers for the needs of industrial enterprises.

«It is necessary to adapt the system of personnel training to the needs of manufacturers. Good examples here are the Alabuga Polytechnic Training Center, where students are taught by real engineers from plants - residents of the SEZ Alabuga» assessed the Head of the Republic.

Minnikhanov also touched on the subject of patriotic education among young people. Alabuga Polytechnic University is doing fruitful work in this direction, one of the brightest examples is holding the largest military-patriotic paintball tournament in Russia for the college students. The games include a reenactment of battles of the Great Patriotic War so that students remember the exploits of heroes and realize the need to defend their homeland. Besides, paintball tournament helps to develop such important qualities as sociability, persistence and responsibility that in the future will help children quickly get used to new circumstances and immediately achieve their goals.

In his speech, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan instructed to significantly strengthen work on military-patriotic education.

«Preserving the glorious traditions of the Victory is of great importance for the patriotic upbringing of the younger generation. The activities of all educational and cultural institutions must be aimed at this. A special role in this work is assigned to military-patriotic clubs, children's and youth associations. I charge the Republican Coordination Council for patriotic education to provide methodological support of these activities. We must pay special attention to expansion of the corps of «Victory Volunteers» and development of volunteering in general. It is precisely good, constructive deeds for the country and its inhabitants that lie at the heart of the formation of patriotic attitudes among our youth. In general, today we face the serious tasks of forming an integral system of values, improvement of educational work and development of public national institutions. To be a patriot of your country means to love your homeland, your native language, to appreciate your culture, and to respect your past. Patriotic and spiritual and moral education of children and young people is the most important task of the state. It's future generations that will stand guard over the security of our Motherland» Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the audience.

The head of the republic also mentioned the company «Danaflex» which is implementing on the territory of SEZ «Alabuga» a project to produce a new generation of recyclable film materials worth over 2.5 billion rubles.

Today «Alabuga» is the largest and the most effective special economic zone on the territory of Russian Federation. The total volume of private investments amounts to 158,5 billion rubles, more than 10 thousand workplaces were created, and proceeds of the residents for 2021 made 136 billion rubles. «Alabuga» is a full-cycle infrastructure partner, which provides the best engineering, construction, personnel, social and logistic infrastructure.
