SEZ «Alabuga» brings logistics to a new level

The first train of the Chinese company SWIFT arrived to the special economic zone «Alabuga» from China. Recently SWIFT has been actively interested in the Russian market and has registered a legal entity, SWIFT RUS. It provides import and export freight forwarding service from the territory of China. Representatives of the logistics company have applied with a proposal to make a home terminal on the territory of SEZ Alabuga with their cargoes.

According to Deputy Director General of SEZ «Alabuga» Timur Mingazov, many Russian enterprises, as well as residents of «Alabuga» switched to work with China in terms of import supplies of components, as well as sending finished products to China, but do not have the necessary infrastructure to work with containers.

«We have received a proposal to locate SWIFT's home terminal at Alabuga. In order to increase the volume of exports in containers, we are interested in working with exporters who would like to containerize cargo, but do not have the capacity to do so. All the conditions for this work are available at Alabuga - open areas and covered areas in sufficient volume. The capacity of the terminal allows storing containers for a long time to load export cargo», - said Timur Mingazov.

A reliable partner of Alabuga in this direction is OOO Mendeleevskazot. The only producer of mineral fertilizers in Tatarstan actively develops its services and buys new rolling stock. The company carries out qualitative work in terms of railway logistic activities.

It is planned that the terminal on the territory of SEZ will receive one train from China every week.

Total volume of private investments makes 158,5 billion rubles, more than 10 thousand workplaces were created, and proceeds of residents for 2021 made 136 billion rubles. «Alabuga» is a full-cycle infrastructure partner, which provides the best engineering, construction, personnel, social and logistic infrastructure. Thus, today on the territory of SEZ there is already a container terminal with the area of 63 thousand square meters and can accommodate 2 thousand containers simultaneously.
