The resident of «Alabuga» Kastamonu will once again act as a partner of «Earth Hour» in Russia


One of the largest residents of the special economic zone – the Kastamonu company – will support for the 7th time the most massive environmental action on the planet initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The event will take place this Saturday, March 26.

The Earth Hour campaign will take place in Russia on March 26 at 20:30 local time. This year, the organizers suggest thinking about what all earthlings have in common. This is common – a planet that belongs to everyone, and it is important to do everything to preserve it, even in the most difficult times. It is important to remember that millions of species of living creatures live here together with people, which also need to be taken care of. In addition, it is important to continue supporting charitable organizations.

«This year we are supporting «Earth Hour» for the seventh time, and it is being held in Russia for the 14th year in a row. Participation in this action has become a good tradition for the company and all employees. Kastamonu pursues a comprehensive environmental policy that concerns not only the company and employees, but also business partners. The company promotes the ideas of responsible forest management, is engaged in tree planting, and all production processes at the plant are aimed at saving natural resources.

The annual Earth Hour environmental campaign was initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007. The action is symbolic in nature and is designed to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to the nature and resources of the planet. The culmination of the campaign is the «Earth Hour» itself. Traditionally, at this hour, millions of people symbolically turn off lights and household electrical appliances.
