We nurture the personnel for the industrial sector - Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation appreciates the work of Alabuga Polytech

Deputy Minister learned about dual-training system and had a tour at a resident-plant.

Today, Vasiliy Osmakov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation had a working visit to Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

He witnessed firsthand the scale and opportunities that Alabuga provides to its residents. Additionally, he learned about the innovative solution implemented here to address the personnel shortage in the Russian industry.

Timur Shagivaleev, CEO of Alabuga SEZ, led a tour of Alabuga Polytech Educational Center. During this visit, the Deputy Head of the Ministry personally engaged with college students, who not only shared insights into their fields of study but also discussed their educational and professional journeys at the center. Upon exploring the state-of-the-art laboratories, where students are nurtured into highly skilled specialists under the expert guidance of mentor engineers, Osmakov was notably impressed by this innovative approach. He was particularly struck by the significant number of students who choose to pursue their educational and professional growth at Alabuga Polytech, drawing individuals from even the most remote corners of the country.

In addition, Osmakov visited the Yelabuga Battery Factory, the youngest enterprise of this profile in Russia, which was launched on the territory of Alabuga SEZ in December 2017. The plant produces car batteries.

Alabuga SEZ is the full-cycle partner that provides the best utility, construction, social infrastructure, and personnel. In the territory of SEZ, there are over 40 unique import phase-out production facilities that are leaders in their industry sectors. The total amount of private investment in 2023 was 169 billion rubles, with 16 thousand jobs created, and the residents’ revenue in 2023 amounted to 179 billion rubles.
