Substrates production from Rockwool will open in "Alabuga" in October
The opening of the plant has been announced by the president of the company Rockwool International Jens Birgesson during a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The construction of the Grodan substratum plant began in 2017 - the building for the resident is being built by a subsidiary company of the SEZ "Alabuga", created specifically to provide general contracting services to residents. The resident of the SEZ invested about 500 million rubles in the new project.
The plant for the production of substrates from Grodan mineral wool is the second project of the resident resident of "Alabuga" LLC "Rockwool-Volga". It was initiated jointly with Rockwool International A / S and is aimed at import substitution of substrates supplied from Holland. The construction of the plant was started in September 2017. The manager of the plant "Rockwool-Volga" Maxim Vasiliev said that the decision to continue investments in "Alabuga" was accepted due to the successful implementation and operation of the first project in the SEZ.
Construction of the plant is carried out by the company "Alabuga Development" - a subsidiary of JSC "SEZ PPT" Alabuga ", established to provide general contracting services to residents of the special economic zone. The Rockwool project is the first order for a new organization. The building for the new production line will be attached to the existing plant. Construction is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2018, the plant will be ready for launch in October.
