The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: SEZ “Alabuga” is 100% effective

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has published a report on the results of special economic zones (SEZ) for 2018 and for the period from the beginning of their operation. At the end of 2018, the SEZ “Alabuga” received the highest score of 100% in terms of a combined efficiency indicator, and was also awarded the highest rating since the beginning of the special economic zones operation.

The effectiveness of the SEZ functioning was evaluated by nineteen absolute and relative quantitative indicators, as well as by four calculated indicators of efficiency: the work of the SEZ residents, the profitability of investing in the creation of objects of economic zones and the activities of government bodies, the number of investors attracted and workplaces created, the investment volumes and capital investments , revenue from the sale of goods, the expenditure of funds from the federal and regional budgets, the amount of tax and customs payments.

The SEZ "Alabuga" is one of the most successful special economic zones of industrial and production type in Russia. Today 57 residents are registered in the SEZ “Alabuga”, 31 companies carry out industrial activity. Among the residents are such leading international companies as Ford, 3M, Rockwool, Air Liquide, Armstrong, Kastamonu. The volume of private investmentы contracted is 187.6 billion rubles, assimilated is 128.3 billion rubles. At the same time, the volume of state investments in the creation of infrastructure amounted to 26.8 billion rubles.

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation estimated nine SEZ of production and industrial type in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Lipetsk, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Pskov, Astrakhan, Kaluga, Moscow and Tula regions. High ratings were also awarded to the special economic zone of the Lipetsk, Moscow and Tula regions.
