Ambitious projects and international exchange of experience: Alabuga signed a memorandum with the Foshan City Department of Commerce

Yesterday, December 16, the SEZ “Alabuga” and the Commerce Department of Foshan City of China signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The signing took place in Moscow at the trade and economic forum “China (Foshan) - Russia.”

The forum was organized with the support of the trade and economic department of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation. It coordinates the activities of Chinese entrepreneurs in Russia and is a platform for the implementation of Russian-Chinese cooperation.

The meeting took place as part of the implementation of agreements concluded on November 20, 2019 as part of the visit of the delegation of the SEZ “Alabuga” to the Department of Commerce in Foshan.

The purpose of concluding the memorandum is to develop cooperation in attracting investments of Chinese companies representing the strongest industries of Foshan in the territory of the SEZ “Alabuga”.

Today, Foshan is in 17th place in the ranking of China's cities for industrial production, generating GRP in the amount of 993 billion yuan (8.8 trillion rubles).

“Investment and economic cooperation with the People's Republic of China is one of the important areas of activity for the SEZ “Alabuga” and the Republic of Tatarstan. The signing of a memorandum with the Foshan City Department of Commerce is only the beginning of our productive work. This is an invaluable exchange of experience and great potential for the development of Alabuga,” said Evgeny Gorshkov, Head of “China” department in SEZ “Alabuga”.
