Alabuga Development will reconstruct Yoshkar-Ola treatment facilities

The construction company "Alabuga Development" will be engaged in the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities  in the city of Yoshkar-Ola.

Alabuga Development won the tender for the reconstruction of the treatment facilities  with a total area of ​​the projected site of 211 thousand m2.

Wastewater treatment plants in Yoshkar-Ola, built in 1967, require reconstruction due to significant wear and tear of fixed assets. Currently, the total amount of wastewater treated at the Wastewater Treatment Plant is 85 thousand m3.

The start of the first stage of implementation is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2020. The first stage included energy facilities, waste and sludge mixture supply stations, activated sludge feed stations and a station for placing blowing equipment, as well as large-scale repair and restoration work on biological treatment facilities: secondary sedimentation tanks, aeration tanks. All work is planned to be completed by June 2024.

Reconstruction of the sewage treatment facilities of the Mari capital is planned as part of the federal project "Rehabilitation of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology". The main task of which is to reduce the volume of polluted wastewater discharged into the Volga River by three times.

Since 2017, the company has completed a large amount of work on the modernization of water utility facilities, including district treatment facilities and a water treatment plant in Yelabuga.

The work on the construction of the USC will optimize their productivity, taking into account the needs of the city and its future development. Design work for the modernization of the facility will be carried out using modern techniques and technologies. The introduction of a biological method for removing biogenic elements will make it possible to minimize the negative impact on the environment and guarantee the degree of wastewater treatment in accordance with all sanitary and environmental standards in force in the Russian Federation
