The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia visited the "Alabuga Polytech"

Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov visited the modern educational center "Alabuga Polytech". He was accompanied by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and General Director of SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev.

During the excursion, high-tech laboratories for industrial robotics and mechatronics, industrial automation, electrical installation, equipped with laboratory stands and mechatronic stations from FESTO, KUKA training robotic cells, a high-voltage testing ground, laboratories with automated equipment for chemical laboratory analysis were demonstrated.

The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia was told about the selection criteria for the "Alabuga Polytech". Graduates from all over Russia online on the Alabuga HR-platform can go through the Business cats economic simulation, which allows them to assess the level of analytics, communication and command skills of the candidate. Business simulation also clearly demonstrates the willingness of applicants to move up the career ladder. "Alabuga Polytech" gives students the opportunity to subsequently become heads of production, engineers, managers of enterprises.

Educational programs of secondary vocational education according to the dual system, aimed at meeting the needs for qualified personnel for resident companies, have been implemented since 2019.

Denis Manturov examined the engineering college and asked questions of interest to the students of "Alabuga Polytech". The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia highly appreciated the activities of the Engineering College, created to train modern specialists according to WorldSkills standards.

Practical skills are taught to students by highly qualified mentors - active engineers from resident enterprises. These include Rockwool-Volga LLC, Ford Sollers Yelabuga LLC, Polimatiz JSC, Havi Logistics Yelabuga LLC, as well as engineers of Alabuga. Practice-oriented training is achieved, inter alia, by attracting students to practice at the facilities of the engineering infrastructure of SEZ "Alabuga" starting from the second half of the first year of study.

This academic year, the project of the engineering college, created by SEZ Alabuga, was supported by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, recommending admission to the Alabuga Polytech to applicants throughout Russia. This project is important for the development of human resources in the Republic of Tatarstan and for Russia as a whole.

SEZ "Alabuga" together with "Yelabuga Polytechnic College" on the basis of an agreement on networking and cooperation in the field of training qualified specialists since 2019 has been implementing educational programs of secondary vocational education on a dual system aimed at meeting the needs of SEZ resident enterprises "Alabuga" in qualified personnel. The students of the educational center are graduates of the 9th grade, mainly from the Yelabuga municipal district. The Polytechnic College accepts at least 100 students starting in September 2019. The term of free education is 3 years and 10 months.
