Alabuga Polytech is our serious project : Rustam Minnikhanov at SPIEF

Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov spoke about the project «Alabuga Polytechnic» at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to him, today the region pays serious attention to the issue of personnel training.

In the framework of SPIEF it was announced that the Republic of Tatarstan was in the top three regions of Russia in the national rating of the investment climate, which is annually compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) 

According to Rais, Tatarstan's high place is the result of joint work of a large team. Speaking about the system solutions, which allow the Republic to develop today, Minnikhanov named the developed infrastructure, mentioning among others the SEZ «Alabuga». According to him, today 97 thousand people are employed at the industrial sites of Tatarstan, and the volume of goods shipped is 596 billion rubles.

«To make it all work, human resources are needed. We are seriously engaged in the creation of resource centers. Today we have 45 of them. We held World Skills. It was a good school for us to be able to work at the world level,» Minnikhanov emphasized. - Of course, I would like to give you an example of our serious new project - Alabuga Polytech. Today there are already 1,300 students, and in two years there will be 10,000 students!

Education at Alabuga Polytech is based on a dual program, where students are trained in the mornings on the most modern equipment under the supervision of the best engineers of the plants-residents of SEZ Alabuga, and in the evenings they study subjects in the institutions of secondary and vocational education. At the same time, the college students undergo internships in the company's core business units.

Upon graduation, the graduates become highly qualified and in-demand specialists in the labor market, with having work experience under their belt.

As reminder «Alabuga» is the No.1 special economic zone in Russia. Today it is a full-cycle partner, which provides the best engineering, construction, personnel, social infrastructure. More than 30 unique import-substituting production facilities are located on the territory of the SEZ, which are leaders in their industries. The total amount of private investment is 162 billion rubles, 11 thousand jobs were created, and the residents' revenue for 2022 was about 138 billion rubles
