«Alabuga» received SIBUR's first container train

Last weekend, the first train consisting of 76 cars with SIBUR products arrived at the container terminal of SEZ Alabuga from Tobolsk.

After undergoing customs declaration, the rolling stock with polyethylene and polypropylene will be sent to the multipurpose port of Bronka in St. Petersburg. In the Northern capital the polymers will be transshipped to a vessel and sent for export by water.

In March this year SEZ «Alabuga» and PJSC «SIBUR» signed an agreement on transportation and forwarding services. According to the document, SEZ will carry out acceptance, storage and shipment of loaded 40-foot containers.

We should also remind that 3PL service was launched in test mode on the territory of Alabuga and SIBUR became the first client. The parties signed a 3-month contract with the possibility of prolongation.

«We made an agreement with our colleagues from SIBUR on a three-month contract with the possibility of extension. Under this contract we provide them with 3PL logistics services. That is, they send us automobile cargoes, and we unload them, store them, label them and, when necessary, load them into containers, which from our logistics site will go for export or to the necessary point inside Russia», - Timur Mingazov, Deputy Head for Interaction with Residents, Development of Engineering Capacity and Operation of SEZ «Alabuga», shared the details.

Alabuga is the No. 1 special economic zone in Russia. Today it is a full-cycle partner, which provides the best engineering, construction, logistics, personnel and social infrastructure. More than 30 unique import-substituting production facilities are located on the territory of the SEZ, which are leaders in their industries. The total amount of private investment is 162 billion rubles, 10.5 thousand jobs were created, and the residents revenue for 2022 was about 140 billion rubles.
